Interesting map and the concept provides a fun way to build in bonuses. In most of my plays the swing state idea doesn't seem to materialize as I think it is hoped ("battleground" hotspot). Mid-game isn't great -- escalation to the late game is pretty quick.

Really interesting mechanics. As someone who tends to enjoy heavier fog settings I don't think this board lends itself as well to that, but that is less a criticism and more an observation. Interesting map and unlike other maps isn't always about expanding a contiguous territory.

Really enjoy the land/sea element with sea spaces being critical but also requires expanding one's borders. Low number of fortifies requires some tough decisions early on. Supports a variety of strategies.
